justin + juby || an intimate asheville wedding.

full disclosure — this wedding took place a few summers ago and i can’t believe i am just now sharing it because it’s still one of my favorite days!

i met juby years ago in what sometimes feels like a different lifetime. our paths crossed in different cities through out the mountains and by the sea. i was excited to reconnect for her intimate wedding outside of one of my favorite places, asheville. justin and juby invited their friends and family from all over the world to spend a weekend camping in hickory nut forest and to witness them exchange vows in an apple orchard on a summer afternoon.

we spent most of the day in the woods, getting ready, relaxing, and gathering florals and decor for their ceremony and reception. they shared a first look and exchanged private letters and gifts by the river. we hung out outside of juby’s mobile boutique, moonflowerchild and also shopped a bit. music played throughout the property as the sun dappled in through the trees. and late afternoon, we hiked through the forest to an open field near the orchard where their ceremony took place, just before a summer storm caught us all by surprise.

after a delicious family style mediterranean dinner and the sweetest speeches from family, we made our way to the cabin for a few hours of dancing underneath the stars. this will forever go down as one of my favorite weddings — it was intimate and completely genuine to who they are, not only as individuals, but together as a couple. they bring out the best in each other and their love and connection is beautiful to witness.

here are my favorite moments from justin + juby’s wedding day. a big thanks to my gal, whitney jade for shooting alongside me.

tiera + chris || gatlinburg anniversary session.

in my opinion, there aren’t many better ways to spend the day than in the mountains. when tiera reached out to me about documenting a morning during her and chris’ anniversary trip to the smokies, i knew exactly where to take them. we packed blankets and snacks and planned to spend the day around the great smoky mountain national park but when the forecast switched on us last second, we decided to stick to cades cove. we drove around listening to music, sharing about their life in louisiana, and my favorite spots around the mountain. and in between rain spells, they wandered through the fields and forests, and danced and laughed beneath the trees. they embraced the weather and were absolute troopers and i just love so many of these images. so here are some of my favorite moments of tiera + chris on a rainy morning in the smoky mountains.
