justin + juby || an intimate asheville wedding.

full disclosure — this wedding took place a few summers ago and i can’t believe i am just now sharing it because it’s still one of my favorite days!

i met juby years ago in what sometimes feels like a different lifetime. our paths crossed in different cities through out the mountains and by the sea. i was excited to reconnect for her intimate wedding outside of one of my favorite places, asheville. justin and juby invited their friends and family from all over the world to spend a weekend camping in hickory nut forest and to witness them exchange vows in an apple orchard on a summer afternoon.

we spent most of the day in the woods, getting ready, relaxing, and gathering florals and decor for their ceremony and reception. they shared a first look and exchanged private letters and gifts by the river. we hung out outside of juby’s mobile boutique, moonflowerchild and also shopped a bit. music played throughout the property as the sun dappled in through the trees. and late afternoon, we hiked through the forest to an open field near the orchard where their ceremony took place, just before a summer storm caught us all by surprise.

after a delicious family style mediterranean dinner and the sweetest speeches from family, we made our way to the cabin for a few hours of dancing underneath the stars. this will forever go down as one of my favorite weddings — it was intimate and completely genuine to who they are, not only as individuals, but together as a couple. they bring out the best in each other and their love and connection is beautiful to witness.

here are my favorite moments from justin + juby’s wedding day. a big thanks to my gal, whitney jade for shooting alongside me.

heather + chris // asheville engagement session

you know those days that just are so good that they stick with you? well, this was one of them. when heather reached out to me about doing a wintry engagement session, i knew exactly where we would go. we packed up the cars and made our way to the blue ridge mountains in north carolina. we bundled up with blankets and hand warmers but couldn't have anticipated just how cold the wind chill felt on top of the mountain. we ran and jumped around to stay warm and shot so fast that i prayed we captured something beautiful — i’d say it was all worth it. here are heather + chris on a winter day in the mountains.
